Terms of Service

By using Studoze, you agree to these terms of service. Please read them carefully before using our platform. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Studoze.
1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing, registering or using Studoze, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Service, our Privacy Policy and any additional guidelines published on the platform. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you must not access or use the service. Continued use of Studoze constitutes acceptance of the current terms.
2. Service description
Studoze is an educational platform that provides AI-powered study tools, including: • Flashcards: unlimited manual creation and automatic AI generation from notes. • Exams & self-assessment: manual creation and AI generation. • AI summaries: transforming texts into concise summaries. • Image occlusion: hiding parts of diagrams for visual practice. • Study calendar: planning with recurring events and AI-generated study plans. • Study sessions: tracking study times and activity. • AI chat: smart assistant for study queries. • File system: uploading and managing study documents (up to 50 MB per file). • Invitations: sharing content with other users. • Auto-highlights: smart highlighting of important content. • Note preparation: automatic generation of PDF study material.
3. Registration and user accounts
To use Studoze, you must create an account by providing a valid email address, a display name and a password of at least 8 characters, or register via Google OAuth. You are responsible for: • Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. • All activities that occur under your account. • Providing accurate information and keeping it up to date. • Notifying us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account. We reserve the right to suspend or cancel accounts that violate these terms or show fraudulent activity.
4. Plans, pricing and payments
Studoze offers the following plans: • Free Plan: unlimited flashcards, 2 exams/day, 2 summaries/day, 500 AI credits/day, 3 note preparations/day, 10 invitations/day and 200 MB storage. • Basic Plan ($5 USD/month or $42 USD/year): 20 exams/day, 20 summaries/day, 5,000 AI credits/day, 20 note preparations/day, 50 invitations/day and 5 GB storage. • Premium Plan ($15 USD/month or $126 USD/year): unlimited exams, unlimited summaries, 20,000 AI credits/day, unlimited note preparations, 200 invitations/day and 20 GB storage. Payments are processed securely through Stripe. Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period (30 days for monthly plans, 365 days for yearly). You can cancel your subscription at any time, retaining access until the end of the paid period. Coupons and promo codes may be available and are subject to specific conditions.
5. Refunds and cancellations
You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Upon cancellation: • You will retain access to premium features until the end of the current billing period. • No additional charges will be made after cancellation. • Your account will revert to the Free Plan at the end of the paid period. Refunds are evaluated on a case-by-case basis. If you experience technical issues that prevent normal use of the service, contact our support team within 14 days of the charge.
6. Acceptable use
When using Studoze, you agree NOT to: • Use the service for illegal, fraudulent, abusive or unauthorized activities. • Upload, generate, request, share or distribute harmful, offensive, defamatory, discriminatory, illegal content or content that infringes third-party rights. • Upload personal data, sensitive data, trade secrets, confidential material or third-party content unless you have a sufficient legal basis, permission or authorization to do so. • Use Studoze to harass, monitor, impersonate, intimidate or harm others. • Use the service to cheat academically, breach rules of your educational institution or present AI-generated content as your own where that is prohibited. • Attempt to access other users' accounts or unauthorized areas of the system. • Interfere with service operation, including denial-of-service attacks, reverse engineering, API abuse or attempts to bypass security measures. • Use bots, scrapers or automated tools to extract data from the platform without authorization. • Circumvent usage limits or feature restrictions of your plan. • Share your account with third parties or resell access to the service. • Upload files containing viruses, malware or other malicious code. We reserve the right to suspend or cancel accounts that violate these rules, restrict features, remove content, retain necessary technical evidence and cooperate with competent authorities where legally required.
7. User content
You retain all ownership rights to content you create or upload to Studoze, including subjects, topics, flashcards, exams, summaries and files. By uploading content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license, revocable when you delete the content, to host, store, copy, process, technically transform, display and transmit that content only as needed to provide the service and run the AI, synchronization, support, security and sharing features you request. You are solely responsible for content you upload, generate, edit, share, download or use. You represent and warrant that you have the rights, permissions, licenses, consents and legal bases required to process and share that content, and that your use of Studoze does not violate intellectual property, privacy, data protection, confidentiality, image, reputation or other third-party rights. Studoze does not proactively review or moderate all user content and is not responsible for misuse, illegal use or unauthorized use of the service or other users' content by a user, without prejudice to applicable legal obligations.
8. Intellectual property
Studoze and all its original content, features, design, source code and branding (including logos, icons and trade name) are the exclusive property of Studoze and are protected by intellectual property laws. AI-generated content is licensed for your personal and educational use. You may not redistribute, sell or sublicense Studoze AI-generated content as a standalone product.
9. Invitation system
The invitation system allows you to share study content with other Studoze users. Invitations: • Expire after 7 days if not accepted. • Are subject to daily limits based on your plan (Free: 10, Basic: 50, Premium: 200). • May include subjects, topics, study sessions and other resources. • The recipient must have a Studoze account to accept the invitation. The user who shares content is responsible for confirming they may share it and for choosing recipients and permissions correctly. The user who accepts an invitation is responsible for how they use received content, including any later modification, copy, download or redistribution, and for complying with applicable legal, academic and contractual rules. Studoze acts as the technical provider of the sharing functionality and is not responsible for disputes between users, unauthorized uses or permission breaches caused by users themselves, to the maximum extent permitted by law.
10. Reporting content or misuse
If you believe content hosted or shared through Studoze is illegal, infringes your rights, contains personal data processed improperly or violates these terms, you can report it through the integrated support system or by emailing [email protected]. The notice should include enough information to identify the content, explain the reason for the claim and allow us to contact you. We may remove, restrict or disable content or accounts when we obtain effective knowledge of an infringement, when needed to protect users or third parties, or when required by law. We may also request additional information, reject manifestly unfounded notices and keep reasonable records of moderation and security decisions.
11. Service availability
We strive to keep Studoze continuously available but do not guarantee 100% uptime. The service may be temporarily interrupted by: • Scheduled maintenance or updates. • Unforeseen technical issues. • Circumstances beyond our control (force majeure). We will not be liable for losses or damages arising from temporary service interruptions.
12. Limitation of liability
Studoze is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law: • We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, secure or error-free. • We do not guarantee the accuracy, reliability or completeness of AI-generated content, user-uploaded content or content shared through invitations. • We are not responsible for academic, professional, personal or financial decisions made solely based on Studoze or AI-generated content. • We are not responsible for misuse, illegal use, unauthorized use or use contrary to these terms by other users of the service, their accounts or content they receive, share, download or modify. • We are not liable for data loss, indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from use of the service. • Our total cumulative liability shall not exceed the amount you have paid for the service in the last 12 months. AI-generated content is a study support tool and does not replace your own judgment, verification of original sources or compliance with academic or professional rules.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Studoze, its directors, employees and providers from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, penalties, costs and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your content, content you share or receive, your use of the service, your breach of these terms, your infringement of third-party rights or any misuse performed from your account.
14. Account deletion
You can delete your account at any time. Account deletion is permanent and irreversible, and will result in the deletion of all your data, including study content, subscriptions, uploaded files, notifications and invitations. For password-based accounts, password verification is required before proceeding with deletion.
15. Governing law and dispute resolution
These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws applicable in the jurisdiction where Studoze operates. Any dispute arising from these terms or use of the service shall preferably be resolved through good faith negotiation. If no agreement is reached, the parties may resort to mediation or arbitration before proceeding to the competent courts.
16. Severability
If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid, illegal or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. The invalid provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable.
17. Modifications to terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Significant changes will be notified at least 30 days in advance through the platform or by email. Continued use of Studoze after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms. If you do not agree with the new terms, you must stop using the service.
